(firm handshake goes here)
I wouldn’t call myself a religious person. I don’t worship a particular God and I don’t particularly like anyone with a God complex. However, I do believe in the power of faith and conviction, so here’s my take on the ten commandments:
I. Your God might be different than mine and that’s okay.
II. Beware of false idols. Commonly seen with blue checks and reality television shows.
III. If you talk smack, you’re gonna get smacked.
IV. Self-care is important. Lazy Sundays are convenient.
V. Call your Mom more.
VI. Build more bridges but always remember they aren’t fireproof.
VII. Rules are meant to be broken but cheaters never win.
VIII. Give credit where credit is due.
IX. The truth is, none of us really know what we’re doing. That’s the beauty of it.
X. You will never have the most of anything, but you are one-of-a-kind. One is far more valuable than the other.
Let us play.
